Heliview is the first NZ helicopter company and Taranaki licencee to be awarded an Enviro-Silver award by Qualmark, New Zealand tourism's official quality agency.

Qualmark licenses professional and trustworthy New Zealand tourism businesses to use the Qualmark 'tourism's official quality mark' to help international and domestic travellers select places to stay, things to do and ways to get around.

Heliview has been an accredited 'Endorsed visitor activity' since 2005. This year we have added the Enviro-Silver award.

We had to undergo vigorous scrutiny and assessment under the newly-created Responsible Tourism category during our annual independant Qualmark audit. The outcome was that we were allowed to apply for the silver rating which then underwent additional targeted assessment. See the listing under the Qualmark website here.

We run our offices at Pouakai heliport and Port Taranaki soley on solar and collect rainwater at Pouakai heliport. We also monitor engine performance against the manufacturer's specifications. Currently it is running at +15% performance. We also pride ourselves in supporting note-worthy community events, such as Camp Quality, NP Sportsfishing & Underwater Club and Waitara 'Take a Kid Fishing Day', More FM - Taranaki's 'Return to School in a Helicopter' campaign 2010, various school galas, and others.

We are striving towards wind power, which, given Richard's love of rotors, would be the ultimate joy (toy?) for him!
