When is the best time to fly?
We get asked this question a lot and there is no straight answer. We love flying any time of year as each season has its own charm. From experience, the mountain tends to cloud over during the day as the temperature rises and then clear again in the evening. So Summer mountain flights are best done early in the morning (before 10am) and in the evening (after 5pm). We can fly til it gets dark and some. How about a night flight over New Plymouth?
Can I pay extra for the front seat?
No, sorry. If more than one person is keen on the front seat, we will flick a coin to make it fair on everyone.
I have booked my flight but the weather deteriorates. Can I rebook?
Absolutely. We will stay in contact with you if we don't think we can provide a flight due to weather conditions. But the beauty of helicopters is that we can fly over cloud and still show off the mountain even if it can't be seen from town. So do touch base with us if you are concerned and we can discuss the situation at the time.
Can I buy a single gift voucher?
Yes you can. We will coordinate groups to meet minimum numbers so we can go fly. Simply give us a ring and we will work in with you to organise a suitible flight. Click here to divert to our gift voucher page.
I have been gifted a voucher. What do I do now?
Once you are ready to book your flight, give us a ring so we can take down your contact details. If we can put you on a flight staright away, we will. Otherwise we'll work with you to organise a suitable flight.
What is your cancellation policy?
As flights are weather dependent, we do not require upfront payment to guarantee a flight. If you however do not show up on a confirmed flight, you are still liable to pay for your seat(s). If you are using a gift voucher, this will be voided. If you're not sure whether your flight is going ahead or not and you haven't heard from us, do give us a ring on 0800 PORT TO PEAK (0800 767 886) or 0800 HELICOPTER (0800 435 426) or 06 753 0123 to discuss this.
